Job Description

HighQ Solutions is a leading provider of innovative collaboration and publishing software to large international clients in the legal, banking and corporate sectors. We are growing rapidly and are looking to expand our development teams based in Ahmedabad, India. We are seeking 2 expert front end developers with excellent HTML, CSS and JavaScript skills.

You will be expected to be expert at building standards compliant, cross-browser compatible code of the highest standard. The HTML and CSS you write must be concise and efficient and work in IE 7+, Firefox, Chrome and Safari on Windows and Mac OS X. Any  experience you have working with HTML 5, CSS 3 and on mobile specific web sites for iOS, Android and Blackberry would be highly desirable as would any experience with responsive design techniques.

This is a hybrid role, somewhere between a developer and a designer, with the focus on taking designs and expertly cutting the front end code to very high standards. Design experience is not essential but would be a strong advantage. You will be embedded in our development team and work closely with developers and our senior managers responsible for user experience. In addition to very high technical standards, you will need to have good social and communication skills and be used to working well in a team environment.

    Working closely with the development and user experience teams
    Leading by example by producing clever, efficient and concise code
    Helping to educate the development team on front end best practice

Essential skills

    Excellent HTML,XHTML and CSS programming skills
    Producing standards-complaint,valid markup
    Cross browser and cross-platform compatible code(IE 7+,Firefox,Safari,Chrome,Windows,Mac OS X)
    Good Java Script programming skills(JQuery)
    Knowledge of accessibility standards
    Experience integrating front end code with server-side code in dynamic applications

Desirable skills

    Interest in and Experience with HTML5 and CSS3
    Mobile development for ios,Android,Blackberry
    Responsive design
    User experience and interaction design
    Experience with JSP
    Experience with AJAX techniques
