Lead Oracle Apps DBA team for support & Implementation.
Should be ready to work in US Eastern time zone
Participate in client's meetings and suggesting the customer on infrastructure needs with increased user base and usage
Responsible for Implementing, Upgrading & Supporting Oracle Apps
Performing APPS / DB Bounces, Applying Data fixes, Enabling Workflow Mailer Logging, Setting up Debug logs, Gathering Schema Statistics, Running RDAs (Remote Diagnostic Agent), Opatch and AD Utilities, collecting logs and traces & other DB commands
Provide on-going performance tuning for Oracle 11i Applications (multiple modules)
Installation , Patching , configuring and upgrade knowledge both for 11i and 10g
Critical events SLA management and first response
Communicating with Oracle Support for getting faster response for functional & Technical issues
Troubleshoot user problems via a thorough understanding of Oracle Apps technical environment
Proper Database Backup, Restoration and Disaster Recovery Processes
Configuring, creating new instances for reporting purposes and automating the process of refreshing instances
Should be willing to work in Shifts as demanded by project or task being done, basically should be flexible with working hours.
Should be willing to travel and should be customer facing

Desired Candidate Profile
Education: (UG - Any Graduate - Any Specialization, Graduation Not Required) AND (PG - Any PG Course - Any Specialization, Post Graduation Not Required) AND ( Doctorate - Any Doctorate - Any Specialization, Doctorate Not Required)
Should have Oracle Apps DBA experience of minimum 5 years with hands on experience on versions R12 and 11.5.10.2
Should have a minimum 2 years of Lead experience
Should be ready to work in US Eastern time zone
Should have client interaction experience and be able to face & resolve the clients queries
Must have worked on all flavors of operating system like HP/UX, IBM, Sun Solaris, Linux and Windows
Thorough understanding of Unix operating system performance measurement utilities (system/network) like top, vmstat, iostat, sar, netstat, lsof, traceroute etc
Should be technically hands-on along with people management skills. Should be able to mentor the juniors and build an Apps DBA team.
Should have strong oracle basics coupled with hands-on experience on Replication, Data Guard, ASM,RAC and upgrade
Should have strong experience in designing and developing complex data models from high-level business requirements.
The individual should be able to collaborate with the Management Team to design, develop and document the databases, schemas and all other aspects of the database.
Should have hands-on experience with a variety of DBA Case/Modeling Tools
11.5.10 to Rel12 upgrade is a definite plus and will be given a lot of weightage
Able to independently work on assignments and interact with diverse teams (unix, network, function/technical users)
Must be very good at Trouble shooting and Root Causing issues arising out of day to day production operations
Upgrade experience from 9i to 10g would be a definite plus
