Web Designer:
The Web / Graphics Designer is responsible for the design & development of major and minor Web applications and components for external users. They will design, develop, test and deliver web sites, applications and components. Enhancements and defect resolution will be required on an ongoing basis. Best practices and design methods will be utilized to insure the success of the projects. The developer will have the ability to create web applications and components from the requirements stage, through design, through production deployment. They will be required to have experience in graphics, layout, scripting, programming, as well as development involving compatibility and integration with various technologies.
Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to learn quickly in various technical and creative environments, while delivering quality design work by tight deadlines, are key attributes of this individual.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operates effectively as a member of the development team
Responsible for the development of web applications and components
Responsible for the design and development of web pages, graphics, multimedia, GUIs
JOB FUNCTIONS:
Prepare work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials
Utilize storyboarding and graphic pre-designs where appropriate
Plan concept by studying information and material
Illustrate concept by designing rough layout of art and copy with arrangement, sizes and styles
Work with cross-functional teams as and when required
Maintain excellent customer satisfaction level
Other duties as assigned
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Strong experience in web designing, Flash animation, emailers, logos, brochures, newsletters, etc.
Fluency in current graphic design practices and web production software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects
Expertise in HTML (table-less design), Flash, Flash Basic Action Script, JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Web 2.0 Std
Ability to create superior, original designs for the web
Ability to convert design into HTML manually, with browser compatibility
Create design specifications document
Develop prototypes
Create animation/ static image templates
Strong in typography, color and page layouts
Solid understanding of navigation
