Web Designer
Job Location: Pune
Job Description: A web designer/developer is responsible for the design, layout and coding of a website. They are involved with the technical and graphical aspects of a website - how the site works and how it looks. They can also be involved with the maintenance and update of an existing site.
After establishing the target audience for a website and identifying the type of content it will host, a web designer/developer will: Write the programming code or design, either from scratch or by adapting existing website software and graphics packages to meet business requirements, Test the website and identify any technical problems, Upload the site onto a server and register it with different search engines.
A web designer/developer should: have skills in software programming and graphics have creativity and imagination be adaptable and able to pick up new techniques have good interpersonal and communication skills keep up to date with advances in computer technology and how this affects the business environment

Functional Role: Design Engineer
Meeting/liaising with clients to discuss requirements and/or project progress Creating web site designs Producing sample sites Demonstrating and receiving feedback about draft sites Keeping up-to-date with recent technological and software developments Developing skills and expertise in appropriate software/programming languages including html, JavaScript and others Producing products that are user-friendly, effective and appealing Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team..
Candidate Requirement
Engage with key stake holders, internal and external, to understand the product and user requirements of the solutions we are creating. Generate appropriate design documents, wireframes and other forms of documentation to clearly represent the solutions being created Work with other development team members to allow them to implement the designs, including design and code reviews Implementation and coding of solutions Generate unit tests and other testing strategies to ensure the products are being tested thoroughly to produce quality products
Skills Required Good communication skills and team player who can adapt to Agile based development. Good understanding of HTML 4.0, XHTML, and must be willing to learn HTML5 Knowledge of basic JavaScript or JQuery 1.5 and Ajax. Expert in CSS 2.0, willing to learn CSS3. Must possess expert designing techniques to match designs for IE7+, Fire fox, Chrome and Safari. Experience in building Search Engine Friendly websites along with basic knowledge of SEO. Should possess good knowledge in Web 2.0 standards..
Experience: 1 - 2.1 years
Qualification: Graduate
Compensation Details
Good understanding of HTML 4.0, XHTML, and must be willing to learn HTML5 Knowledge of basic JavaScript or JQuery 1.5 and Ajax. Expert in CSS 2.0, willing to learn CSS3.
